“Outrageous Resume Lies”

MSN Careers has a humor article on lies on resumes; it’s worth reading. I liked this one: "2. Applicant invented a school that did not exist." It reminded me of a true story I’d heard a long time ago, about a guy who went to a community college whose name started with "Columbia" so he just put down "Columbia" on his resume, which of course made others think he went to the Columbia University.

  1. Unfortunately, CareerBuilder.com, the engine behind MSN Careers, has changed the article’s URL or removed it from their site, so at this point it’s no longer accessible.
