Which of the following is correct?
Seven and nine IS fifteen, or seven and nine ARE fifteen?
Did you focus on the grammatical aspect of the two statements? (I did!) Well, the answer is neither statement is correct; 7+9=16, not 15!
Grammatically, I believe you should say "seven and nine are sixteen."
